Naif by Ard Al Zaafaran sits in the same commanding resinous territory as Oud for Greatness by Initio Parfums Prive, but plum and cinnamon give it a noticeably different personality. Lavender and aromatic herbs add dryness through the center, and tonka, patchouli, labdanum and benzoin build a dark balsamic base without making oud the main event. The result carries similar weight and drama while taking a sweeter, more resin-focused route.
