Eternal Oud by Lattafa is inspired by Grand Soir by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, sharing the idea of a deep ambered vanilla wrapped in warm resins. Plum, grapefruit, heliotrope and orchid make Lattafa noticeably fruitier and more powdery at the start; oud gives the base a darker edge. Grand Soir is smoother and more purely amber-focused, whereas Eternal Oud adds fruit, florals and wood around that glowing resinous core.

Plum and grapefruit give the opening a dark fruity flash before heliotrope and orchid turn the center soft and powdery. Vanilla, amber, oud, benzoin, tonka and labdanum gradually fuse into a thick resinous drydown that feels warm enough to glow.
Eternal Oud holds a substantial 3-5 foot amber-resin cloud for the first 2-3 hours before the plum and florals sink into a darker sweet trail. Longevity reaches roughly 9-11 hours, with benzoin, labdanum and oud staying especially persistent.
Fall and winter evenings are the right setting for Eternal Oud, when plum, amber and resins can feel plush rather than dense. Formal dinners, lounges and holiday events give it enough space, while the powdery florals keep the deep amber-oud base comfortably unisex.
