Diablo by Montagne is based on Dulce Diablo by Narcotica, keeping the same indulgent combination of booze, chocolate, apricot, honey and vanilla. Montagne's structure stays direct, moving quickly from dark liquor into sticky fruit and creamy tonka. It is a dense dessert-style interpretation with very little interest in restraint.
Top: rum, cognac, chocolate
Middle: apricot, honey, sugar
Base: vanilla, tonka bean, davana
Rum and cognac hit first with dark chocolate tucked underneath, like a liqueur-filled truffle. Apricot, honey and sugar make the center sticky and fruity, then vanilla and tonka smooth the whole thing into a warm boozy cream with davana adding an herbal shadow.
Diablo comes out rich and boozy, with rum, cognac and chocolate creating a substantial opening before the scent settles into honeyed fruit and vanilla. Tonka and davana help the gourmand trail last around 8-10 hours, especially in cool air.
Fall and winter nights are Diablo's natural habitat, from dessert dates and lounges to holiday dinners and late-night gatherings. It is fully unisex, built more around decadent sweetness and booze than any traditional gender cue.
