9PM Elixir by Afnan takes inspiration from Le Male Elixir by Jean Paul Gaultier, pairing warm spice, aromatic lavender and a sweet vanilla-heavy base. Labdanum adds extra resinous depth, even as pimento and leather make the Afnan version feel a little sharper and darker through the middle. The added pepper, leather and resin give 9PM Elixir a darker transition before the vanilla takes over.
Top: nutmeg, elemi, cardamom
Middle: pimento, lavandin, leather
Base: ciste, labdanum, patchouli, vanilla
Warm cardamom and nutmeg arrive with a peppery pimento edge, then lavandin and leather smooth the middle without making it soft. Vanilla, labdanum, ciste and patchouli create a creamy resinous finish that feels darker than a simple sweet club scent.
9PM Elixir projects strongly for about 1.5-3 hours before pulling into a steady scent bubble. Wear stretches 8-12+ hours, with vanilla, labdanum, leather and patchouli carrying the darker sweetness well into the drydown.
Fall and winter suit 9PM Elixir best, especially at night when its warm spice, leather and vanilla can feel rich instead of cloying. Clubs, concerts, winter parties, date nights and late dinners are natural fits. It leans masculine, though the creamy vanilla softens that impression.
