Perle D'or by Armaf uses Valaya by Parfums de Marly as a reference; by contrast, its warmer rose, iris, vanilla and patchouli structure takes the idea in a fuller direction. Pear and bergamot preserve the polished brightness up top; by contrast, amber and musk make the base richer than Valaya's airy white-musky reputation. Valaya fans should sample this for the contrast rather than expecting a transparent copy.

Pear and bergamot open bright with pink pepper adding a clean spark. Rose, jasmine and iris make the middle polished and floral, then vanilla, patchouli, musk and amber create a warmer, denser finish than the opening first suggests.
Perle D'or is moderately projecting at about 2-4 feet for the first two hours, then eases into a warmer floral-musky trail. Expect around 6-8 hours, with vanilla, patchouli and amber lasting after the pear and florals soften.
