Inspiration: Kayali - Invite Only Amber

Invite Only Amber by Kayali is the stated inspiration for Oud Elixir by Al Wataniah, but the fragrance itself comes across much fruitier and more floral than the name suggests. Black currant, lychee and pink pepper lead into jasmine, tuberose and orange blossom before a smooth vanilla-sandalwood base. The real reason to sample it is that juicy floral treatment, not the expectation of a dark oud bomb.

Base: vanilla, sandalwood, musk
Black currant and lychee feel juicy beside pink pepper and geranium, giving the opening plenty of color. Jasmine, tuberose and orange blossom soften the middle, while vanilla, sandalwood and musk leave a creamy clean finish with very little darkness.
Oud Elixir projects moderately at around 2-3 feet for the first hour or two, then becomes a softer creamy scent bubble. Longevity lands around 6-8 hours, with vanilla, sandalwood and musk staying after the black currant and lychee lose their brightness.
Mild spring days, fall and cooler winter weather all give Oud Elixir's fruit and white florals enough room to stay crisp. Brunch, dinner, casual celebrations, daytime dates and work events fit; despite the name, it leans feminine through lychee, tuberose and creamy musk rather than dark oud.
