Onyx Silver by Khadlaj is inspired by Castley by Parfums de Marly, using bergamot, ginger and black pepper to create a similar fresh-spicy entrance. Petitgrain and cardamom carry the middle before benzoin, labdanum, tonka and patchouli make the base warmer and more balsamic. Compared with Castley, Onyx Silver is generally lighter and less woody, making it easier-going but also less forceful.

Black pepper, bergamot and ginger open sharp and energetic before petitgrain and cardamom make the center greener and more aromatic. Benzoin, labdanum, tonka and patchouli warm the drydown into a soft balsamic trail that stays much closer to the skin than the opening suggests.
Onyx Silver is intentionally restrained, reaching only about 1-2 feet during the first hour. Benzoin, tonka and labdanum help the spicy-resinous base linger for roughly 4-6 hours as a close skin scent.
Spring, summer and early fall are ideal for Onyx Silver, especially daytime when ginger, bergamot and petitgrain feel crisp. Office wear, travel, gym-adjacent days, errands and casual lunches all fit. The peppery aromatic structure leans masculine without feeling heavy.
