Bois Imperial by Essential Parfums is the reference for Marmara by French Avenue, with both built around dry modern woodiness rather than a sweet perfume structure. Saffron and bergamot brighten the opening, whereas powdery cashmere wood softens the ambroxan before white sandalwood and musk finish the scent. Bois Imperial fans will get less green basil-like freshness and more saffron-powdered woods.

Saffron, black pepper and bergamot open dry and crisp before ambroxan and cashmere wood create a smooth almost fabric-like middle. Powdery notes soften the sharpness, then white sandalwood and musk leave a clean pale-wood finish.
