Mango Aoud by Gritti inspires Mango Affogato by Arabiyat Prestige, but this is not a creamy tropical gourmand despite the name. Mango meets nutmeg and clove up front before saffron, leather and moss turn the center darker, and cypriol, patchouli and vetiver make the finish distinctly dry. Anyone expecting sugary mango ice cream will find a much more mature spicy-woody interpretation here.

The mango smells slightly green and underripe, dusted with nutmeg and clove instead of coated in sugar. Saffron and leather darken the heart, then moss, cypriol, patchouli, vetiver and akigalawood leave the impression of spiced fruit resting on dry earth and wood.
Mango Affogato throws a noticeable 3-5 foot trail for about two hours, then dries down into a closer leather-and-wood presence. You can count on roughly 6-8 hours, with cypriol, patchouli and vetiver outliving the mango.
Mango Affogato works best in spring, fall and mild winter weather, especially from afternoon into evening when its spicy mango and leather can stay balanced. Art events, stylish dinners, creative workdays, rooftop evenings and unconventional dates suit it. The dry leather, cypriol and vetiver give the unisex scent a masculine tilt.
