Le Male Elixir by Jean Paul Gaultier is an original release rather than an inspired-by fragrance. Lavender and mint set up the familiar Le Male aromatic opening before vanilla and benzoin transition into honey, tonka and tobacco. That fresh-to-dense progression is what made it a reference point for so many later sweet aromatic clones.

Lavender and mint open cool and aromatic before vanilla and benzoin begin warming the center. Honey, tonka and tobacco then take over almost completely, leaving a thick golden sweetness with a dark smoky edge.
Le Male Elixir is a powerhouse, pushing roughly 5-8 feet for the first three hours. Honey, tobacco and tonka keep the fragrance forceful for about 9-11 hours, with the sweet tobacco drydown carrying long after the opening settles.
