Island Vanilla Dunes by Khadlaj takes inspiration from Althair by Parfums de Marly, using vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom and orange blossom to create the familiar spiced-gourmand framework. Praline makes Khadlaj's drydown sweeter, whereas guaiac wood adds a toasted woody edge beneath the amber and musk. The overall effect keeps the Althair warmth but nudges it toward a creamier dessert finish.

Vanilla, cinnamon and cardamom open warm with bergamot adding just enough brightness to keep the spice from feeling dense. Orange blossom and guaiac wood shape the middle before praline, amber and musk turn the base creamy, sweet and softly toasted.
Island Vanilla Dunes has a substantial 3-5 foot vanilla-praline presence through the first 2-3 hours. Amber and musk support about 8-10 hours of wear, with the scent becoming creamier and less projected as it moves into the drydown.
Island Vanilla Dunes really comes into its own in fall and winter, especially from late afternoon into night when vanilla, cinnamon and praline feel comforting. Dinner dates, cafés and holiday gatherings suit its sweet warmth, with cardamom and guaiac wood giving it a slight masculine lean.
