Think of fresh orange peel expressed over warm saffron, with a cool mineral sparkle just behind it. A little charred-sugar sweetness floats through the air before cedar, fir needles and damp moss pull the scent toward the edge of a forest. That green woody finish gives the amberwood a firmer backbone than the opening first suggests.
