Dynasty by Lattafa takes inspiration from L Red Tea Vetiver by Clive Christian, centering both fragrances on aromatic spice, red-tea character and smooth woods. Raspberry adds a subtle fruit accent, and suede with cashmeran makes the heart and base feel softer than a dry vetiver-heavy construction. It is a composed tea-and-wood scent with more texture than sweetness.
Top: bergamot, ginger, clary sage, raspberry, nutmeg
Middle: rooibos tea, suede
Base: cedarwood, cashmeran, amberwood
Bergamot and ginger brighten clary sage, nutmeg and a quiet raspberry note before rooibos tea takes the center in a dry, tannic direction. Suede smooths the tea, then cedar, cashmeran and amberwood leave a warm fabric-and-wood finish.
Dynasty opens with a polished 2-4 foot cloud of spice and tea for roughly two hours, then dries into suede, cedar and cashmeran. Expect 7-9 hours overall, with the later wear smoother than the opening spice.
Spring, fall and mild winter weather suit Dynasty best, particularly from daytime through a refined evening. Meetings, galleries, travel and dinner give its tea-and-suede profile the right setting; ginger and dry woods add a slight masculine lean to the unisex composition.
