December Ambar smells like baked apple and dark plum beside an amber candle, with saffron and anise keeping the sweetness from feeling too soft. The opening can feel sharp, but caramel, vanilla, and benzoin gradually round it out. By the drydown, cedar and moss add enough dryness to keep the warm resinous sweetness from turning into syrup.
