Crystal by ALT Fragrances takes inspiration from Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, using saffron, jasmine, ambroxan and dry woods to recreate that airy sweet-mineral signature. Orange makes the ALT opening a touch brighter; fir balsam adds more resinous wood to the finish. Orange and fir balsam give Crystal a brighter, more resinous twist on the familiar Baccarat Rouge 540 structure.

Base: cedarwood, ambergris, fir balsam
Jasmine, saffron and orange feel airy and sweet over a bright ambroxan mineral effect. Cedarwood and ambergris dry the sweetness out as it settles, while fir balsam leaves a resinous edge that can shift between clean, sugary and slightly medicinal.
Crystal projects moderately to strongly, reaching roughly 3-4 feet for the first couple of hours before the airy trail becomes harder to judge up close. Longevity is about 7-9 hours, with ambroxan, ambergris, cedar and fir holding the mineral-woody base.
The fragrance is decidedly unisex. Spring, fall and winter are comfortable seasons for Crystal, especially for days that can move from work into evening plans. Dinners, parties, cooler office settings and special occasions suit its sweet-mineral character.
