Connoisseur Man by Armaf takes its direction from Y Le Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent, combining green apple, grapefruit and ginger with lavender, sage and a darker woody base. Aldehydes make the Armaf opening slightly soapier; by contrast, olibanum adds more resinous warmth beneath the tonka and cedar. The drier incense-touched base gives Connoisseur Man a more resinous, less smooth finish than Y Le Parfum.

Green apple, grapefruit and ginger open crisp with aldehydes adding a clean soapy sheen. Geranium, lavender and sage keep the center aromatic before olibanum, tonka, patchouli and cedar make the base warmer and slightly resinous.
Connoisseur Man has a moderate 2-4 foot aromatic presence for the first two hours before easing into a cleaner woody trail. Wear usually reaches 6-8 hours, with tonka, cedar and olibanum staying after the green apple and grapefruit fade.
