Bonita Rouge by Le Falcone has occasionally been compared with Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, but the two move in very different directions. Limoncello and Sicilian lemon lead into Turkish rose before vanilla, white musk and cedar soften the base, leaving little of Baccarat Rouge 540's saffron-amberwood glow. Bonita Rouge makes much more sense as a bright citrus-rose musk with a creamy woody finish.

Limoncello and Sicilian lemon make the opening feel sparkling and slightly candied before Turkish rose takes over the center. Vanilla and white musk soften the edges while cedar keeps the finish clean, pale and lightly woody.
Bonita Rouge wears with a moderate citrus-floral presence for the opening hours, then softens into vanilla, white musk and cedar. Expect a comfortable mid-length wear rather than a huge scent cloud, with the musky woody base staying closest.
Spring and summer are the easiest seasons for Bonita Rouge, especially daytime through early evening. Brunch, office days, family events and warm-weather dates fit its lemon-and-rose simplicity. The soft floral sweetness gives it a feminine lean.
