Babycat by Yves Saint Laurent is the clear model for Bobcat by Montagne, especially through pepper, elemi, saffron, incense and dry vanilla. Montagne keeps the suede prominent and lets cedar give the base a slightly rougher edge. The result preserves Babycat's smoky vanilla-leather mood without turning it into a syrupy gourmand.

Pepper and elemi crack sharply at first, then olibanum and saffron turn the center smoky and resinous. Vanilla arrives dry rather than frosting-like, melting into suede and cedar until the scent feels like warm leather dusted with spice.
Bobcat kicks off with dry pepper and elemi projecting clearly before incense, saffron and suede begin to smooth the edges. Vanilla lasts well into the evening, giving the fragrance around 8-10 hours of smoky, leathery warmth.
