Amber Saffron by French Avenue stands best on its own rather than as a disguised version of another amber fragrance. Metallic saffron and bright fruit move into rose and jasmine before oud, amber, musk, tonka and patchouli darken the base. The progression from glowing spice and fruit into deep oud and amber gives it a bold identity with plenty of evening drama.

Saffron, spice, fruit, mint and citrus create a busy opening that feels bright and metallic at the same time. Rose and jasmine soften the middle before oud, amber, musk, tonka and patchouli turn the scent dense, warm and much darker.
Amber Saffron comes on with a strong 4-6 foot saffron-and-amber presence for about three hours then develops into a dark woody trail. The fragrance holds for around 9-11 hours, with amber, tonka and patchouli remaining firmly present.
Cold fall and winter weather suits Amber Saffron best, especially in the evening when saffron, oud and dense amber can feel luxurious instead of sharp. Formal events, dinners and lounges let the scent show its full scale; rose and fruit soften the profile, but the woody base gives it a slight masculine lean.
