Alien by Mugler is an original modern classic built around just a few enormous ideas: jasmine sambac, cashmeran and white amber. Jasmine sambac hits like a bright white beam, rich and almost solar rather than delicate. Cashmeran adds dry woody texture underneath, then white amber swells around the whole composition until the scent feels warm, enveloping and almost luminous.
Alien is powerful from the start, with jasmine sambac throwing a radiant floral aura for hours before cashmeran and amber gradually pull it closer. The white-amber base can remain obvious for roughly 9-11 hours, giving the scent its famous staying power.
